I'm not an immigrant, I'm the child of an immigrant and someone whose roots go back here several generations. (Unless you mean because I left and came back, and the Qc. govt does consider that immigration for tax/medicare reasons...)
My roots come from many places including the UK, so I can hardly have been 'anglicized' any more than you've been 'francicized.'
