Speaking of ridiculous things to be outraged about, the Globe and Mail apparently found it necessary to assign a reporter to write a story about how there was no Canada Day Google Doodle this year.

Oh FFS…
i wonder if the 2003 snub mentioned in the article was because of our declining to join the yanks in iraq. i doubt it, since the folks as google seem to be of the volvo-driving, birkenstock-wearing, threatening to move to Canada on a whim set. seems like a simple oversight: they have been overextending themselves with the themed pages lately.
I noticed the lack of doodle too, and must admit I was slightly disappointed, as if uncle Ted had forgotten about my birthday.
