		<description>That CBC "broadband" video offer is highly annoying. if you are going to provide no option  other than a 220 k/sec stream, you better have the bandwidth or else it is the stuttering festival. I haven't been able to properly watch ANYTHING on the CBC video offerings. Low-bandwidth option for the win?

I'm surprised La Presse's blog isn't filled with articles telling us how great they are ;)</description>

		<description>I was initially quite keen on the Globe and Mail's Olympics Blog. I'm not, now. I think it exposes how, after long days of filing news stories, in the bubble-world that it is the Olympics, how little energy or insight is left over at the end of a long day for blogging. 

Or maybe you just had to be there. 

Everyone's getting in on the act. New Yorker critic Anthony Lane has written one of his amusing essays on being at the Beijing games. But again, I didn't find it was interesting as the stuff he usually writes. I liked his review of Batman better.</description>
