Sure, you might pity them after the fact for fear of their safety, but I can't condemn killing Fredy. There were only about 6 kids in the park, according to eye-witnesses, and there wasn't a warrant out for Danny, the brother who was (legitimately) out on bail. The worst part of it, though, is that it all went down in about a minute. 60 seconds seems like an absurd amount of time to go from police walking over to a bunch of guys to having 1 dead and 2 wounded, regardless of what might have happened or what kind of training they had. So sure, you can pity them because they have to live with regret, but then wouldn't you just end up pitying every criminal? I have to say I only partially agree with you.
