CKNX and CFPL were CBC affiliates until 1988.

CTV do not care about local Television.

This should be a surprise to no one.

I wonder if Rogers' Omni might buy the CJNT. Probably would be a low cost addition to its multi-lingual stations elsewhere.

As a former emplyee of CKNX Television, it's like a slap in the face to see these 3 stations sold of a mere $1.00.....but should we expect anymore for CTVglobemedia.....and to set the record straight, CKNX was not a CBC affiliate as you stated. CKNX along with CFPL went private back in the early 90's I believe.
CKNX was always knopwn as a "training station"....somewhere collge grads could learn the tricks of the trade so to speak. I hate to guess how many former CKNX employees are now working across North America in the broadcasting field. Maybe ask Jane Gilbert or Paul Hunter about there time at CKNX.....I'm sure they would have some stries for everyone.
Thanks for letting me vent......
