Would you prefer they just piped in prepackaged content they got from elsewhere, like the other networks are doing? Fewer glitches that way.

I've been watching CHCH occasionally for a few years now and was intrigued by last year's panic and eventual saviour act by CZ. Since the resurrection, their programming expertise seems to have vanished, as if they've started to, and can continue to, bumble along, without consequence. The regular bloopers and on air "glitches" just seem to be getting more and more common, as if they don't care how they rate in their peer group, particularly in terms of putting on a professional show and product. Their latest advertising campaign to sell, well, their own advertising spots of all things, may be the red flag signalling the beginning of the end for them.
Pity. I would wholeheartedly wish some of them well, while wondering what the rest of them are even doing in professional broadcasting.

So, what happens to Donna Skelly's initiative? Is it dead, or, does the "spirit" and "intent" of the Skelly initiative get absorbed or quashed into the Zero plan? Someone should get some off-the-record feedback from Donna on how her energies are being utililized. -peter

You still have Global Quebec (CKMI). It's the E! simulcasts that will probably end, which includes things like the Late Show with David Letterman.

Well, for better or for worse we may not have Global's hamfisted simulcasts to gripe about in Montreal, anymore.
