I enjoy the new CBC Montreal news. I think Jennifer Hall and Andrew Chang are excellent hosts. I have one complaint however. Kristin Falcao's voice!!! I can't stand it!! It's not pleasant sounding at all and grates like nails on a chalkboard. It's high-pitched and not a voice for radio or TV at all.

The set is the same size -- what they've managed to achieve by hiring Andrew Chang is a trick known in the motion picture business as "forced perspective". Now all they need to do is scale down his sheafs of paper and give him a miniature coffee cup and the set will look like a Bombardier hangar.

The news expansions also happened in Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and (for some reason) CBC North. It was also confirmed on Radio One by one of the hosts in Edmonton that CBC's 11pm local news will be launching in October (dunno if it's going to be like the CBC Vancouver @ 11 newscast, where it's only 5 minutes long, or if it's a traditional 30-minute newscast).

Did anyone else notice how uncomfortable the anchors seemed for some reason? I watched the newscast on Monday and everyone was flubbing lines the whole time, with Frank especially appearing particularly bewildered. I guess those are just more kinks to be fixed.

"The Scene" was the best part of CBC News Montreal when Leah Hendry was there.. I am surprised that with all the art cultural focused city such as Montreal, CBC left the city's richness unreported.. Let's bring back Art to the news if CBC wants to improve its ratings..

I agreed, too much weather time, and too much repetitiveness..
