Jeff, You sound like a 'typical' anglo from the west island, totally negative to anything that comes out of Quebec. I am not a "unilingual francophone" and I tolly enjoyed the first game. There are minor things that I would change about the show but as a sporting event it was entertaining. I evaluate the caliber as jrAAA+. However any time that you get 2 evenly matched teams, in any sport, the game is worth watching. I suggest that you open your mind a little and embrace the culture as I have rather than looking for negatives.

Wait... I can't believe it (or yes I can):

On the sports blog buried in canoe.qc.ca, there's a "rivalry" between the two blog writers. On from Quebec, the other one from Montreal.

And they DO post about the TV show (even if they clearly blog about "real (major) sports" usually).

And surprise! In the comments, nobody says anything bad about the show, people are just picking on each other about the great rivalry between the two cities.

I mean come on, there's not even one post with the tiniest hint that the first show might have been too long or boring. It looks like they deleted everything that didn't please the Empire...

Unilingual Quebecers can watch Radio -Canada, V or historia,RDS . It s not mandatory to watch those stupid programs like it s not mandatory for the unilingual anglophone to watch all of the boring american soap opera. However the r s still a lot of people who are watching these programs

When my buddy and I would go for breakfast on Sunday mornings last year we'd take a minute to quickly leaf through the whole paper to get to the Horoscope section. We'd then read out our respective horoscopes. Sometimes there'd be a section concerning love and romantic situations. It was worth reading the first couple paragraphs.
