Hm, interesting. I recently found a Bixi key on the street and sent an email to Bixi, asking them to forward my address to the owner of the key. Never heard back from them -- maybe because it was just the easily replaceable Bixi tag and nothing else.

That is lovely news. I've found keys, and also wallets with a bit of money in them, and returned them to their owners. When owners were teenagers they just grumbled. (Bus pass, and about $40 - which would be worth a lot more twenty or thirty years on).

The funny part is that if you walked past me on the street (unlikely, my street is on the other side of the planet) with your mouth closed, I probably would have no idea who you are.

I found a ring of keys on Park Avenue last year and was able to reunite them with their owner after a quick call to Bixi HQ. The red tag on the original Bixi key stands out in a snowbank!
