June 28, 2010 | Media, Sports British tabs and their sober second thoughts And the United States, who was eliminated the day before? Well, the best from that is the New York Post:
Wow, these newspapers have no class whatsoever, most of these headlines are so lame
and people think Montreal media is bad towards our Habs.
(For bad and for good) England soccer fans/press = Habs hockey fan/press??
The media in England is FAR FAR worse than here.. and they don’t even have the language issues we have.
It‘s not much smarter than hokey, eh?
I like the cover of the daily express
The media comparison between the USA and England is `spot on`.
I laughed for a good minute. When I listen to callers on Red Eye radio overnight, their ignorance and disdain of FOOTBALL ( i call it by its real name ) is bordering on legendary. Actually the theme most often heard is that soccer (as they call it ) is on the rise in the USA in areas that cater to immigrants, illegal or not.
`this sport is tupid anyway`
I have to say, this soccer mania the rest of the world really borders on insanity. Entire countries are acting as if their entire survival and reason to exist depends on winning a soccer game. I say, enjoy the game. But don’t let the game destroy you.
