Pop quiz: What’s wrong with this CanWest E! web ad?
The following don’t count:
It should be “Women’s Murder Club”, not “Woman’s Murder Club”.
Geez, even I knew that and I do not even watch the show.
And besides, it would not be much of a club if there was only one woman, now would it ?
Ok, I’ll stop now.
The only thing I can think of (knowing nothing about the show) is that it should be “women’s” not “woman’s.” “Woman’s” is singular possessive, implying it is a club composed of only one woman.
Alternatively, however, you could say that it is a club (composed of many people) that is owned by one woman. It would be like saying “Fagstein’s Murder Club.” Well, not really though, since “Fagstein” is a proper noun and “woman” is not. So it should be “A woman’s” murder club, or “Women’s” murder club.
Or maybe what’s wrong with it is the idea of having a murder club at all, as that sounds rather retarded.
What, a woman can’t have her own murder club?
I’m guessing it’s meant to be “women’s”.
The show is called WOMEN’S Murder Club…
Now what do I win? :P
You all got it right!
Now you get to split the Super Prize Money of $0 (minus taxes) between yourselves.
Congrats.
“Fagstein’s Murder Club” sounds like a hip-hop remake of Sweeney Todd…
