Or his coffin! Casket is one of those trade euphemisms – the undertaker aka mortician aka funeral director trade in this case. Like the real-estate “buying a home”. You can buy a house, apartment, barn or condo, but you can’t buy a “home”.
Actually the difference between a coffin and a casket is more tangible than a “trade euphemism”.
The difference is in their shape. One is a rectangular box and the other has six sides.
In the end we are all generic…..
